Very rural 'residential' Bayshore area, combination of retirees, summer rentals and families, but never crowded and usually very quiet. Half mile to ocean with Waldport across the bridge. Newport a 12 - 14 minute drive north on 101, Yachats 9 minutes to the south. Lots of restaurants, grocery, convenient stores, bakeries, Post Office, library, breweries, wineries, gift and novelty shops, etc. close-by. Weather rarely goes below 38 degrees in the winter and over 75 degrees in the summer. Sun year round -- even on days in the winter (rainy) season. Rare to smell forest fire smoke from the east. No pets. No smoking in the building but approved for deck and concrete walkways (be aware of seasonal fire restrictions). Close to many different and unique beaches and hiking trails. Make use of our reflector telescope for viewing the bright stars at night. I am an award-winning photo-realist artist and film-maker and wife is a lawyer and Oregon coast naturalist. We reside on the top floor. Coastal Oregon is an amazing place to explore and live. The BIG house is under 18 years old, previously used as a summer house and has been restored and upgraded in the past year. As our guest, one would have access to tennis courts, outdoor pool in the summer and many other HOA features.
