“I'll be completely honest and say this studio is a fair deal for the price (I gave it 3.5 stars -- but Airbnb doesn't allow for half stars). I stayed 4 nights (Wed-Sun) while apartment hunting for my brother who is moving to D.C. The studio is probably better suited for a younger or uncomplicated twosome/ individual who just want the barebones in an excellent neighborhood close to everything in the city. I wouldn't come here as a "corporate traveler" though. Here are the pros/cons: Pros - Location, directly above a bakery if that's your thing (although the scent isn't as amazing from the upstairs as you'd expect) - Good kitchen - Clean and functioning bathroom (water pressure on shower is good as is toilet) - Smooth self check-in and check-out process - Nicole is very responsive for both check-in/check-out; I didn't need to communicate with her at all during my stay though Cons - Mattress is not comfortable -- there's a foam mattress topper that sinks into a hole where your body was laying down. The mattress itself looks old. The headboard isn't even attached to the bed, it's just placed behind the bed and metal frame. - Bedding was overly scented with detergent - made my skin itchy and not pleasant the first night - No mirrors -- they have a tiny mirror above the sink in bathroom. Couldn't really check my appearance before leaving - this would have really bothered me if I were truly on business. - Needs a functioning iron & ironing board -- iron was burnt on the bottom and unusable, ironing board wasn't a typical standing board so I couldn't figure out how to use it. - Construction in the alley by the window when we went -- they were piling up concrete and rocks from some sort of tear-down, so it was loud. It starts at 7am, but ended by the time we were back in the unit in the evenings. - Kitchen trash can foot pedal still broken -- this is minor, but I read this in a previous review from several weeks ago, and you'd think this could be fixed by now. Overall, if you're not spending too much time in the unit, and mostly using it to sleep and shower while you explore DC, it's fairly decent.”

“The host was great. Easy checkin and perfect communication.”
“There was a mix up on the initial booking but Nicole contacted me quickly and remedied the situation but upgrading me to a nearby luxury equivalent place. It was in a great location, clean and no hassle on arrival. Her response time was great on any questions I had and provided a well curated list of places to eat and things to do! Awesome stay.”
