“It's a great experience staying at Tara's house for 4 months. It is well equipped with anything you need. Tara is very kind and will reply to your question promptly. I recommend everyone who plans to visit Berkeley book Tara's house. You won't regret it.”

“Amazing place - super chic. the house is beautiful, the garden wow. very spacious, fully equiped - it has everything that you might need. this is the best place to stay in Berkeley. Tara is super guests, answers immediatelly to all questions.”
“Super responsive host, excellent location, really helpful all around! We booked her home for a participant and a faculty member for a program we were running at UC Berkeley - so it was great to have a host who understood our situation and was helpful since I wasn't there myself!”
“Tara’s place is the lower level of a lovely house in Berkeley. My husband and pup needed to be in the area for work for 2 weeks, and it was a comfortable and well appointed retreat for us. The space is adorable, the beds and comfortable, and kitchen and bathroom was very well stocked. We had some issues with cell service and WiFi strength, but other than that it was an awesome stay :) would definitely come back!”
“Overall the house is in pretty decent shape for Berkeley (Email hidden by Airbnb) ing form Texas, for some reason we seem to have a much higher standard for our houses here, but I guess you have to live with the local standards. The house is from 1899 as far as the front sidewalk says and overall is a pretty nice place. The BACK YARD IS BEAUTIFUL and highly brightened our 3 month stay. But the (very fine) DUST PROBLEM THAT MADE US ALL SICK with sinus problems, which I am not sure where it was coming from, was terrible a good portion of our stay and we had to continue to keep cleaning ourselves to try to keep this dust under control. I speculate after thinking on it and seeing some dust a little come down, that when the upstairs tenant (we were the lower partial underground tenant) walked around the 120 year old house, it caused built up dust to move in our ceiling (his floor) and slowly filtered down to our air and floors. Overall, the house was furnished pretty nicely with good attention to detail and the kitchen was nice, functional and dishware stocked well. The floors did need some repairs due to looked like water damage likely, but overall they were ok. Also, we like a lot of light and due to this place being 1/3-ish underground, we were missing that pretty much, especially with us staying through the winter months. The Owner's communication was pretty decent but she lived in LA and her mother managing coudl only seem to support smaller stuff and not the cleaning contractor hiring or cleaning itself. Tara, the Owner was very nice and did work towards our issues, but the time it took was much to long and I think she can improve on by jumping on and likely paying a few more dollars to get a contractor out to fix an issue asap instead of doing it herself. I think if this is done, it would have made our stay in Berkeley very nice instead of just decent. Details on the Dust part (which was our only main issue, but a very big issue though): The time it took for Tara to come clean after our complaint early in our stay of dust was about 2 weeks. I wanted her to come sooner, but she was busy and said she planned to do it herself and could only come after 2 weeks. I didn't know it would get so back, but within that 2 week time, my fiance developed a severe sinus infection (and her dad, our son and I minor sinus problems). Our sinus issues went away over a course of a week or so after her hug cleaning and then her dad and I cleaning. We had to do a 2nd cleaning ourselves due to the cleaning person she hired to clean the house after her 6 hours of rug cleanings never showed up. I know Tara...”
