“Overall, this apartment was great. The location is fantastic. Very close to Union Square where several subways are available. Safe neighbourhood, and lots of amenities practically on your doorstep (drugstore, coffee shop, restaurants). The building hallways are a bit run down, but everyone I met, including the doormen, were super friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was good. Lots of space, a big closet, and nearly everything one needs for an extended stay was provided (a few small items were missing that I would consider part of a furnished unit). The bathroom is updated and clean - something I have not encountered in any other apartment I've rented in Manhattan. The bed was really comfortable and the dresser provided in the bedroom was super handy. The laundry facility in the building was great and not creepy (again, unlike most other experiences I have had). The one downside, and it was a big one, is that that sofa is extremely uncomfortable. If I was there for a week, I wouldn't care, but for an extended stay there are going to be days and times in the apartment where a sofa is used. This was uncomfortable enough that it would make me think twice about staying here again despite all the good of this unit. I can't imagine anyone sleeping on it as the 3rd sleeping space. The experience with HomeSuite and the landlord was generally good. Staff that booked the unit were extremely friendly and helpful. Check in instructions were clear and that all ran smoothly. My only complaint is with the payment systems and having to pay an extra 3% because I don't have a US debit or credit card and then having to wait several weeks for my deposit to be refunded (or pay another fee to have it wired sooner). ”
